(19) 17 Staytime Foundation in SOFT IVORY

I watched a review on the product and went straight out to pick it up. The packaging is very different to most foundations. It was a pump which is always handy; Good shape for storage and not very bulky so would work for travelling and if you are short on space. It also has a locking system, so you don’t accidentally press it and it is a good way to cut down wastage and mess! At £6.49 I had to give this foundation a try.

This product has quite a positive reaction from others, so I had high hopes for it. It had okay coverage and matched my skin which is helpful for a foundation right? I was happy with the look it left, wasn’t very shiny, but unfortunately, didn’t look very natural. I did apply this over the primer from the same collection, but I believe that it looks better without the primer.

Unfortunately, after an hour or two, my skin looked flaky underneath, but I think that is due to my dry skin so won’t be repurchasing this product. I would recommend trying if you are on a budget. It does the job, but the coverage and the staying power aren’t great. Also, I felt the entire time I was wearing it I was worried that it was smudging around my face if I touched my face for any reason. It was also quite hard to get it even, the brushes etc. It left lines; you would have fingerprints in it and was generally not the best foundation to apply.

The one thing I did like about the product is that it comes in very pale shades; I would say if you were tanned or have naturally dark skin, then maybe this isn’t for you.

Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone that wants a lasting foundation but would work for you beginners for your first foundation, be careful if you are likely to wipe your face a lot. I won’t be repurchasing this item.
