2024 And the fun begins…

Good evening, everyone, how we all doing?

I have some news. If you read my previous post, then you are fully aware that I have had issues with my laptop. I send it off with Curry’s (PC World) to be fixed. I was told they would have it for 7-10 days. (10 days being absolute maximum). Well. Not only did they have it for 12 days, but they refused to fix it. Why it took them 12 days to not fix it… I do not know.

So, I picked up my laptop after work on Thursday. Took it to a different Curry’s (PC World) and guess what… they are going to fix it, well most of it. Unfortunately, the guy that is going to fix it is on annual leave for a week, and then it will take him 7-10 days to fix it (and probably a lot longer because he will have some catching up to do). So, I am probably going to be without my laptop for a good 3-4 weeks, perhaps longer as we are already into week 3.

In the meantime, I am currently using my dad’s laptop which I really appreciate having the use off. But it is very old laptop so not everything I want to do I can. And the software is quite dated. The colour on the screen is shockingly dull. I never realised how bright the colours on my laptop were. But looking into the laptop, it’s a 2014/2015 model so the screen is expected to be a little outdated.

However, … I have been a little bit naughty. I have gone and bought myself a new laptop. Which was supposed to arrive Friday. (I kinda forgot it was easter). I am kinda a geek when it comes to things like this, so I am super excited. I cannot wait for it to arrive. I am going to be like a child in a sweet shop. And I am going to have to really look after it…. I am going to treat it like a piece of thin glass.
