545 August Favourites 2018

I love watching and reading about what people are enjoying now, also known as monthly favourites. They inspire ideas for you and help you decide if you should spend your money on the items. I always trust their opinion when the product is empty or if the person has multiple empty containers as you can tell they do like the product, I mean if you use an entire product, it can’t be terrible can it?

People tend to go into more detail about the product when they are talking about it instead of just a review as it is a chatty version of a review. I have been meaning to do one for ages but when it came to the end of the month, I can never remember what it is I have been enjoying, I need to write them down when I think of them instead of lying to myself and saying I will remember. I have a mix of food, makeup, and beauty-related products.

Coop Cheese and Onion Crisp

I randomly decided to put them in the basket one day. Does anyone remember the old classic Walkers cheese and onion before they updated all their flavours? Yep, you guessed it, these crisps taste exactly like the old classic cheese and onion Walkers crisps which I miss a lot. Also, I could be wrong, but it seems that these packets are full compared to the branded ones which are half full. They are also half the price of the branded ones you can buy. I am not a lover of the newer flavours of Walkers. I like some of them but others I have gone of them. I did try to find a link but was unable to find them online. Can you shop online with Coop or is it a go-to-only shop?

Carrs Original Melts (Crackers)

Carrs Original Melts (crackers), I have never really been one to enjoy crackers because I always thought that you had to put butter and cheese on them which I don’t like. When you don’t have anything on the cracker, I would have thought they would be plain and boring, so I never bothered with them. One day I was hungry, and we hadn’t done a food shop for a while they were the only thing in the cupboard, so I decided to try them with peanut butter. I have found my new snack. If you would like to get your hands on a packet of these, take your mouse and click the link below.

Makeup Revolution Eye Shadow Palette

I was very pleasantly surprised by this item; I did not expect it to deliver the way it has. I think I paid £4 for this palette; you could honestly not guess that this was a cheap palette. It doesn’t stay on as long as an Urban Decay but for £4 you don’t expect it to. I would say this is the perfect palette for everyday looks, neutral and subtle. This has been one of the staples in my makeup for months, it is the perfect shade for me. The colours are so easy to work with, it successfully blends every time and is an overall great product. I can see myself buying this product again, it has lasted forever so far. I can’t remember when I bought it. It has just started getting all scratched up and old looking. I think the case will give up before I use up all the eyeshadow. Pick up one for yourself at this link below.

Milky Bar

If you know me, you will know I do like white chocolate. Randomly, I have been enjoying these. They are just creamy and nice. I do like that they are small; it means they aren’t overpowering and aren’t very sickly. It is just a nice item to enjoy when you are not looking for a big, sweet item. They aren’t a bad price either which is also nice. To try them out you can click this button.

Cadbury Mini Eggs

These are only around at Easter for the most part, but I love them so much when they come out that I stock up on them and make them last for as long as I can. I like that you can have a few at a time and they are also not overly sickly. It is easy to customise how many of them you want. They are great for everyone, great decorations for cakes, kids (although, keep an eye as they are small, and choking is a risk), and adults, what is bad about them? Of course, they should be consumed in moderation, be sensible but enjoy.

In all honesty, I would rather have a bag of these over an Easter egg, I would enjoy it more. I don’t ever remember being able to eat an entire Easter Egg, most of the time I ate the chocolate that came with it and gave the egg to my dad. These may not be in shops now because they are mostly around over Easter and then tail-off. However, I did find them online if you want to have a look or grab some for yourself. Take the chance now.

Oral B Max White

What is there to say about toothpaste? Not much, this is just the one I have been using lately and I am not opposed to it. I am not particularly attached to it either, I’ll use any toothpaste, but I do like this one. Apart from the price tag, I am not a fan of that, but you only get one set of teeth, so you should look after them. My only issue is, the small tube, it doesn’t seem to last very long with three people using it. Which is not a huge problem, I just wished the tube was a bit bigger. (Tip, you should look in your local Savers, it is often half price there). I have been using this product for a good couple of years now, there are about 4 different ones. I just grab whichever one is on offer at the time of purchase. To pick one up click the link on the button below.

Barry M Cappuccino

This is possibly my favourite colour ever, but sadly it has got dried up and I can’t seem to find another one. I have concluded that it has been discontinued, Barry M if you are reading, please remake this or add this back to your line, I cannot find a colour that is a good match. Maybe it was just sold out of renamed but please inform me as soon as possible. I would love to get my hands on this product again. It was just the perfect nude, it was great for every day but also smart enough to be worn to dinner after work, add a glitter feature nail and you are good for an occasion as well. As it has been discontinued, you are unable to purchase this colour, but I have provided a link to Barry M in general if you want to look.

Carte d’Or Vanilla Ice Cream

Some would say, I have attained an expensive taste. When an ice cream tastes as good as it does there is no argument. This is superior ice cream. I love vanilla ice cream; I would choose vanilla over most flavours every time. The amount of flavour this has is magnificent, you couldn’t squeeze one more bit of vanilla in it, they have the perfect balance between sweet enough and overly sickly. I only purchase this when it is on offer though because £3.50 is a little bit over budget for ice cream, you could feed an entire family with £3.50 worth of rice and sauce.

The Frey Life

Okay, so this is a strange thing to be on a favourite list, it isn’t an object, it’s not food, it’s not a product it is YouTube Channel, I discovered them in January 2017. I can’t remember the first video I watched of theirs, but they were the saviour of my insanity. Last year in January, I fell at home and injured my ankle badly, it wasn’t a broken bone but pretty much everything else in my ankle was broken. I was on crutches for a few weeks, and it is amazing how much a second foot is helpful. Even to turn around you need a second foot, which I didn’t appreciate.

What can I say, go big or go home? Thankfully, this YouTube channel saved me from going insane. The first few days it was nice to chill at home, my parents brought me drinks and food, got to catch up on TV shows, and watched a few movies. Then I ran out of things to do. Mary Frey from The Frey Life on YouTube gave me something to do, Mary suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. When I was at school, I knew someone with the same condition. I enjoyed watching Mary on The Frey Life during my time resting. They have been one of my favourite video makers since.
