I LOVE IT, there that’s the review, no other words needed…
I am joking but I do LOVE this scent, the product, the bottle, everything about it I just love. There is a couple of reasons this product has a special place in my heart actually and, of course, there is a story behind how I came to own this product (having never visited the USA in my life). Have you tried this one? If you have, let me know what you think of it in the comments, if you don’t like it… Can I, have it? It is only fair if you don’t like it right? (I will pay you for it).
Come on, Bath and Body Works… Please can you explain why you haven’t expanded over to the UK? Seriously, why not you are missing a whole lot of business. Whenever I utter the words Bath and Body Works, I always get people asking if they have come to the UK yet. Also, to top that Bath and Body Works has now ‘retired’ this scent (which is a criminal act if you ask me). I get that companies must make room for their new products, but they always seem to get rid of the products that I LOVE. Bath and Body Works, if you are listening well, I suppose reading more than listening, please either open a store here in the UK, a website in the UK or just ship to the UK. I promise you will get loads of business! Who’s in, let me know in the comments below because I want to be able to buy their products in the UK.
On to the mini storytime. When I was 15 my auntie (who lives in America) had to visit the UK for family reasons. It was the first time I will have seen her in 13 or 14 years (I was a baby when she moved so I have no recollection of her). She arrived with Bath and Body Works presents. I mean, I won’t complain about getting something for free because it was very kind of her to bring us presents from the USA. A little unnecessary but very much appreciated! Whatever her reason for bringing gifts, it was lovely of her so I should shut up now. Thinking about it, I got this product when I was 15 so I have loved this product for, well for a long time.
At the time (years ago now, and yes it does make me feel old), I thought it was cool that no one else (out of my friends) could buy this product. It meant that I was the only person I knew that had this scent. There is so much peer pressure in school, so it was nice to have something that was just mine. I seem to be drawn to things that are different and something that not everyone can get their hands on. I did recently find them on eBay, and I might have bought two. But teens in school are not likely to go and buy things off eBay (at least while I was at school they didn’t). So, it was a bit special to me cause as far as I knew it was mine and no one else could buy it. Am I the only one when something you love is getting close to running out, and you barely use it, so it lasts longer? Surely someone else does this as well.
What are your favourite scents? I tend to steer towards more sweet scents or fruity. I love a bit of orange or strawberry. I could never work out what this fragrance smelt of. It became a bit of a test or game I would play. Whenever I met someone new, I would ask what they thought it smelt of. I got a mixture of sweet, vanilla, fruity, and tropical when I asked. I don’t know what it is about this spray, it just smells so good. I can’t get enough of it. The first bottle I had, lasted ages because I didn’t want it to run out. I think I had the first big bottle in about 4 years. Then I got a new one and used it for about a week.
According to the Bath and Body Works website, this is a floral and fruity scent. It is described as frosted florals (that makes me think of a flower with snow on it) and a sugared pomegranate. I’ve never eaten a pomegranate, have you? Are they sweet? Either way, I am a fan. I always find it interesting to try and guess what the scent is and then I have a look to see how far off I was.
When I find a spray I like this much, I will randomly spray it just to smell it. Does anyone else do that? I could easily use this one forever! It works for the day, it works for the evening, it works as a room spray and all sorts of. To be honest, I don’t have ‘out out’ sprays (if you are British, you will understand that little joke) I just either like them or I do and if I like them, I will use them whenever I want. The only difference is if I am going ‘out then I will usually bring it with me to spray again.
Going back to being enchanted, they couldn’t have named it better. The scent does make me think of summer, it smells fresh, sweet, and a bit fruity. It honestly is one of my favourite scents I own. I have been using this one the longest. I started using it around 16 so yeah it was probably one of the first scents that I owned.
The packaging is just STUNNING. Don’t you think? The colours, the design and everything about it is perfect. The button to get the spray is easy to use but doesn’t leak. Is that what the spray part is called? I mean you press it down so I would class that as a button. You’ll have to excuse the pun, but the product is very enchanting there is just something about it that says girly, magical and beautiful. The Artist couldn’t have gotten it any better, the design perfectly captured what this product is all about. The bottle is quite big so size-wise it doesn’t travel well but it isn’t super heavy and if I can fit it in the bag, I am using I wouldn’t think twice about bringing it with me. I do wish I kept the smaller bottle just so if I wanted to, I could decant if I wanted to. The smaller bottle was just as equally beautiful.
Here, did you know that Bath and Body Works put Aloe in their body mists? I didn’t, I would love to know who thought of that and if there is a reason behind it. I have never noticed my skin feeling moisturised after using it, but I tend to spray my clothes more than my skin.
Did you know they (Bath and Body Works) put Aloe in their fragrances? I didn’t, there is a surprising fact for you. I don’t remember where I read this though so don’t quote me. I mean, I am not sure why but not a terrible idea if you ask me. I don’t spray it on my skin, so it won’t make much of a difference for me but at least you know it has a bit of goodness for your skin in it.
Now I have a question for you. Does that make a skincare product as well? Probably not, but I suppose you could argue it. Let me know what you think in the comments below. It makes it a nice beach spray.
Unfortunately, you cannot buy it in the UK (apart from eBay). I will attach the official Bath and Body Works link. It is worth checking eBay every so often if you are looking because they do pop up from time to time.
