866 Beauty Haul 2019

Well, this is going to be a quick one because I have been on a spending cut as I have a few things coming up which will require me to have a bit of cash on hand. Nothing dodgy just holidays and special occasions. There are just three things in today’s haul, I was going to wait until I bought a few more bits to tell you about it but I thought I might as well get on with it while I have it. Today there is a mix of things, got a bit of hair, face cream and then makeup tools. Shall we get on with it?

The three products are:

  1. Argan Oil Hydrating Hair Mask

  2. Origins Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturiser

  3. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponges

Argan Oil Hydrating Hair Mask

Okay, let’s just say I like this product a lot. This is not the first time I have bought this; I can’t remember how I found it, must have been one of those times I was killing time at lunch and had nothing better to do. Recently, Argan oil has become popular for use on healthy hair but typically it is not the cheapest thing you can buy. You can find it at most a lot of different shops from your local supermarket, pound shops and many more. The mask is a thick consistency which I found odd at the beginning. I thought it would be too heavy on my hair as I have quite fine hair. I would highly recommend keeping it away from the roots because masks are made for the ends of your hair for the most part.

At first glance, I didn’t think I was going to like it at all. But I can now eat my words because I have gone through multiple pots of this. I don’t think I have ever paid more than £1 for it either. I recommend having a look at the local Savers store, I have never had trouble finding it.

Origins Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturiser

I am so glad I finally got this product. I have been looking at it and wanting it for years but couldn’t condone spending that kind of money on face cream. The price of some of them is ridiculous don’t you think? Anyway, I used this product and I fell in love, with the smell, the consistency, the quality, and the outcome. There is just nothing I don’t like about this product. I wouldn’t mind it being a bit cheaper, but I am 100% happy paying the price if it works and my skin gets on with it. I have sensitive skin, but I also don’t have sensitive skin, it is very strange and hard to explain. I can use face masks and do all sorts of makeup and I don’t have many issues with products but touch my skin or scratch an itch it freaks out and goes bright red. There is a word for it, but I don’t think I fit under that category, I just say my skin gets touchy if anyone asks. Back to the product, I like it, no I love it, you should try it, find a John Lewis, and go to the Origins counter to get amazing one-to-one service or simply shop online.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponges

Well, if you have been reading for a while you will know that I use these a lot. Pretty much 5 – 6 times a week so they get rough quite quickly I try to get a new one every 6 – 8 months depending on how bad they get. I had one once that lasted about a week, I ripped it, and it was a really bad place so that one was a waste. I would struggle to use a brush for foundation now I’ve got so used to the sponge a brush would be alien to me. The finish is always great, you don’t get those annoying streaks the foundation gets pushed into your skin instead of painted on. One of these days I would like to try a brush again to see the result after using the sponges for multiple years.

These are like the mask, you can buy these in some supermarkets, Superdrug, Boots, sometimes Savers and online. Keep your eye out for the deals though as I got 4 of them for £15 (which would have been £24 had I paid full price) this time.
