350 Believe in Yourself

Pretty much everyone in the world will feel sad but there is only one person who can change the sadness they feel. I am going to let you in on a little secret, your feelings and your actions are all controlled by you.


If you are having a day where your friends and family are busy but you’re not, make yourself a cake. Go out and do something you want to do, don’t sit on the sofa and sulk. Rather than hoping your friends and family are going to cancel their plans to come and hang out with you, put the results in your own hands. People, you need to stop missing out on things because someone hasn’t done it for you. If you want to celebrate your birthday but everyone is busy, celebrate it by yourself. It won’t be as loud, but you can have fun without everyone else if you are open to it.


Stop sitting around waiting for someone to pick up the pieces for you if you truly believe you are a mature adult then get up and be an adult about it. The next time you achieve something you have been working hard on, I want you to leave yourself a little note to come home to. Tell yourself how proud you are for persevering. Leave the note even if your friends and family are proud of you and they have told you, it is always nice to ensure you get recognition from yourself as well.


Next time something doesn’t go your way, shrug it off. Be sad about it, but after five minutes you need to get over it and go out to change it. Say to yourself that you want it to improve, you are disappointed, but it isn’t the worst thing in the world. There is almost always a second way to do something. One year from now, I want you to look back at what I have said today, and I want you to say, “I made it”. The problems you are going through right now, in a year I want you to have done something to make them better. Stop complaining about them, get up and move to fix it. That’s an order.


Take your experience and evaluate, learn, and understand why you went through that experience. Write yourself a motivating note and whenever you feel you can’t do something or maybe you are feeling unmotivated, get rid of that feeling and push yourself through it.


Your problems no matter how little, big, serious, or stupid they are, you want to be able to look back and say “I no longer have those problems because of …”


You are in control of how you feel and act. If someone has made you feel down, only you can turn it around. Don’t let someone else affect how you live. You don’t have to be anyone but who you want to be if someone doesn’t like it then just move on. You shouldn’t have to change how you feel or act to have a friend.
