What can I say, this came with a set that I bought. I think it was in a 3-for-2 offer, meaning I pretty much got it free. I love these because you can try new things without spending any extra money, so you don’t feel like you have wasted any money.
I wasn’t sure if I would like this one because when you see aloe it usually means that the product is very gentle. Gentle and face masks generally don’t work out because you don’t get the results that you want. I was thinking that it will feel almost like there was nothing there which is good, but a gentle product generally means that the results are slow and slight.
Right so about the product, I loved the smell of it when you open it. It does say fragrance-free, I don’t think it is anything perfumed, just the natural aroma of aloe which is a clean and fresh smell. The colour is white but it’s a glossy white, almost like a lip gloss. Like a coloured lip gloss, it has colour but when thin you can barely tell. I love that it is fragrance and alcohol-free, I don’t agree with the fragrance though as it does have a smell, but natural products can smell too.
I would describe the product as having a balm type of consistency; it is a mix between a cream and a gel, either way, it is rich but light on the skin. You can feel it on your skin, but it doesn’t feel like it is causing any blockages or clogging your amazing pores, if my foundation felt like this, I would live in it. I didn’t read how to apply it because I just assumed that you applied it and took it off after twenty minutes like every other mask, I have tried but you are supposed to leave it on overnight.
While you apply it to your skin it feels very creamy and cooling on the skin. It is perfect for a little pick-me-up at the end of a long day. I have only used it twice and I didn’t leave it on overnight just because I would get it everywhere and I don’t like the idea of it getting in my hair. I must admit that is one thing I hate about face masks; they are messy skin care products. There just isn’t a way to keep it neat is there?
I didn’t expect to like this face mask, just because aloe is mainly for sensitive skin so I thought it would take forever to see a difference and not too much, but I quite like it. I mean it isn’t the best face mask ever, you can get ones that will work better but if you want a quick low maintenance little pick-me-up, this is the product for you. It would be a good one for sensitive skin as well, it doesn’t tingle, it doesn’t burn, it isn’t harsh, and it is just light and creamy. I have noticed that when I am tired, I reach for this one over my other ones because it is so easy to apply and remove. It stays moist so you don’t have to chip it off, although it is clear it is easier to get it all off.
