Lately, every time I feel like I have got a routine sorted or got into the swing of things something changes in one way or another. Recently, everything has been going tits up. Most of which I don’t have much say in. But I am a strong believer in changing what you can to improve yourself or your life. A lot of things that happen in your you can’t do much about, but if there is something you can do about it, do it.
I won’t go into much detail because it would be unfair, however, certain events within my work life have made me decide it was time for me to move on Admittedly the problems could have been solved through talking but if an adult chooses to use unprofessional language in a professional environment, there is no point trying to change unprofessional behaviour. Mistakes happened, we are all human but if you make a mistake, you should have the courage to accept your mistake and apologise for your behaviour. If this is not done the same day, then it shows they feel their behaviour is okay. And it just so happened that a role that I believe is going to work a lot better for me was available and lucky me, I have been offered the role.
I think it will work in my favour in a lot of ways, and with any change in life, there are one or two downsides, but for now, it appears the pros far outweigh the cons. I also get more time off, so I get more time to do my hobbies and keep on top of general life things.
I would like to take the time now to ask you lovely humans, to allow me a little bit of time to get into the swing of the new role. I think it going to make it easier to spend more time on these posts, but I won’t have a set week-to-week routine. I believe I will be on a two-week rota. So, my days off will be different each week.
I have begun over the weekend a sort through my things at home, to try and start afresh with a new job and have everything where it belongs at home. So, a bit of an early spring clean. I am terrible at thinking I will reuse something, so I put it in a bag or a box and then I find it while I am going through things a year later. And my thought process is… if I haven’t gone looking for it/I forgot I have it, I don’t need it. So, I either give it away, donate it or throw it if it is useless.
And… as some of you already know, I have got into knitting/crocheting. So, now I have 4 boxes and 2 bags of wool to store. Note to self…. STOP BUYING WOOL. I honestly think they multiply themselves at night. My next task is to try and use up any wool that I have used for a project but have not finished the ball.
