662 Clinique Haul

I have recently discovered my love, well my liking for Clinique. Until recently I had never used the brand, always too expensive. I have been given a couple of products over the years, but a foundation was recommended to me, so I thought I would have a look at their products while I was purchasing them. I kept putting off purchasing the foundation because I thought it was overpriced but I finally thought it was time to try it out.

Now, I am a little behind on these posts because I’ve had a busy time lately, which means I have already gotten part way through the foundation and I am 99% sure I have written a review already, so I will find that and leave the link below.

When I was placing my order with Clinique there was a deal, if you spent £40 you would be able to pick 6 free minis and I love getting free products. It allows you to test the products and you can see if you like them without spending a fortune.

In total I got 10 things:

  1. Clinique Beyond Perfection Foundation and Concealer

  2. Clinique Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder – Invisible Matte

  3. Clinique Redness Solution

  4. Clinique Smart Night Custom Moisturiser (Sample)

  5. Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser (Sample)

  6. Clinique Mascara High Impact (Sample)

  7. Clinique Pep-Start Double Bubble Purifying Mask (Sample)

  8. Clinique 2-in-1 Cleansing Micellar Gel + Light Makeup Remover (Sample)

  9. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion (Sample)

  10. Clinique Wash Bag

There is one item that I did not buy from Clinique because I found it quite a bit cheaper elsewhere. I am not going to tell you which one as it is unfair on Clinique but if you do some shopping around you will find a bargain if you can be bothered. Now you know what I bought; shall we go through them?

Clinique Beyond Perfection Foundation and Concealer (30 ml £28.50)

I can’t remember who, but someone recommended this to me. The first thing I would like to point out is that this collection has a very impressive shade range. I believe my one is 0.5. I do enjoy this product and I have already completed a review for this product, which you can find in the link above. My only complaint is that it does oxidise so by a couple of hours into the day it is too dark for me. I use the lightest shade, so I can’t go any lighter, but I like the lasting quality of this foundation and its coverage is decent. I will keep this one short and sweet as I do have a full review. Here is a link to the review.

Clinique Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder – Invisible Matte (£25.50)

When I was picking out the shade online, I spoke to a woman on the Clinique live chat she suggested I try this product because it would help reduce oil coming through the foundation. I thought I might as well, my first impression is that it is a little expensive for my liking, but I am excited to try it. I have high hopes for it as it is just shy of £30. I haven’t used it much yet because I mainly use loose powders, I have found it doesn’t drag my skin around as much. I have used it a couple of times but that is it. Once I have used it a few more times I will start a review. If you would like to give it a go, follow this link below.

Clinique Redness Solution (150ml £19)

I only bought this so I would get the free samples. If you spent £40 you got to choose 6 free samples. I am just about to run out of my cleanser, so I thought I might as well try a high-end one while I was placing an order with Clinique. My skin goes red easily, so I figured this would be a good product to try. Although I did fall into the trap to spend more money, I did need a cleanser, so it was a win-win situation. I haven’t started this yet because I have one on the go and I am almost finished. I am impressed by the size of this product. Typically, cleansers are in small quantities because a little goes a long way. You can pick this one up for £19 from the Clinique website if you follow this link.

Clinique Smart Night Custom Moisturiser (Sample) (50ml £52)

I had never heard of this one, but I am on the hunt for a new night cream as the one I am using now hasn’t impressed me. I thought I’d give it a chance. This product was the last item I picked out, there were four items left and I couldn’t decide which one I wanted, I finally ended up with this one. Hopefully, I like it more than the one I am using right now. I’ve had a quick look at this on the website, firstly I don’t like the price, it seems very overpriced. When the cream is above £40 it goes out of my mind, but it will be nice to try it. £52 is a lot of money to spend on one beauty product. I’ll let you in on a little secret of mine, if I am not sure if I want to purchase something, I work out in my head how long I would have to work to buy that product. It helps put into perspective how worth it is. I am excited to try this, but I doubt I will be repurchasing because of the price of the item. One thing I like about this product is you can get three versions depending on the type of skin you have. Pick it up here.

Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser (Sample) (30ml £24)

This product I am looking forward to trying it out. It is just a sample size, but I have found that although samples are small, they do give an impression if it is bad or good. I always thought you didn’t get to test out a product properly with samples because it is such a small quantity. I prefer the price of this one, it is £36 for the 50ml pot which is quite reasonable. I think it is a good price for a brand such as Clinique. I have used the gel product of this collection and I enjoyed it, so much so that I bought the full size. That gives me great confidence in this product. Keep your fingers crossed and your eyes peeled for the full review. In the meantime, if you would like to try this out for yourself you can pick up a 30 ml bottle for £24 or the 50 ml bottle for £36 if you follow this link to the Clinique website.

Clinique Mascara High Impact (Sample) (£19.50)

Again, this was a product that I probably wouldn’t have chosen but you had to pick 6 samples. I am not complaining but out of the free samples I got, I think this is the one I might pass on to a friend to use. I like the mascara I’m using, no need for another one right now. When I don’t have an issue with a product, I don’t try to fix it because I don’t see the point. I am sure it is a great product if I end up using it, I will let you know. Don’t count on a review, if I use it then I will get one drawn up but otherwise, it will go to a friend. It is just shy of £20 which I think is a bit expensive for mascara. This one comes in black or brown for those of you that prefer a softer lash look, click here to give it a go.

Clinique Pep-Start Double Bubble Purifying Mask (Sample) (100 ml £24)

This interested me; I was curious about what a double bubble meant. I looked at this online and it says it does its job in 2 minutes. I don’t know of any other mask that works so quickly. I also haven’t heard of or seen a bubble mask, it is innovative and seems like it is going to be a nice product. I am excited about this one, I feel like a full-sized product is being purchased. I will see how long the sample lasts and see if I like it before I jump the timeline. I am very curious about using this product, it was hard not to use it before I complete this post for you. For such a large size of face mask, the price is good. If you would like to look or think it might be a good fit for you follow this link.

Clinique 2-in-1 Cleansing Micellar Gel + Light Makeup Remover (Sample) (150ml £17.50)

I have strong feelings that I am going to like this product as well. Anything with gel in the name draws me in because I know it is going to be cooling, absorbent and refreshing. I haven’t found a micellar water that I love yet so when I get the opportunity to try one out, I take it. Stay tuned because once I have used it, I will be sharing my thoughts. I can see myself purchasing the full product, I mean not much can go wrong with micellar water. It is going to be impressive at £17.50 per product. I am on the hunt for a skincare routine, but I haven’t managed to get it down yet. Do you want to try it? Click this link and purchase it online.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion (Sample) (50ml £18.50)

I think this could be a good product, particularly for the winter. The website describes this to be lightweight which is perfect for a moisturiser. You don’t want a heavy moisturiser to weigh your skin down and clog your pores. The colour has me worried, what ingredients are making the product yellow? I might have to do a little research and investigate that. It can’t be bad, it wouldn’t be allowed, I hope.

Clinique Wash Bag (Gift with the redness solution)

I don’t have much I say about this. I keep a couple to the side for when my current ones get too grim, and they need to be replaced. This came free with one of the products I bought, and they are always handy to have a couple lying around.
