980 Clinique Haul 2019

Okay, so I have always been quite against the high-end brands, mainly due to the ridiculous pricing and I never saw the point in using a product so expensive when the cheaper ones work just fine. However, now, and then I do like to buy something nice for myself in the skincare zone. I would say every 6 months or so I choose something to treat myself to, but it depends on what I am running out of at the time. This time I had a look on the Clinique website, and I found a couple of boxes almost like a little kit designed to combat a specific issue with your skin. The products in each box work together to care for your skin with the main aspect being on the box. The products complement each other as well which is nice, trying to find products that work well together otherwise is not easy. I did also take full advantage of the spend £30 and get free samples and the free delivery deal they had on.

Here are the items that I bought. I got 12 individual products in total:

  1. Clinique Break Up with Breakouts Box £16

  2. Clinique Ready Jet Go Box £20

  3. Clinique 7-Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula

  4. Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser

  5. Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

  6. Clinique All About Eyes

  7. Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly

Clinique Break Up with Breakouts Box £16

I bought this box because I do struggle with breakouts. I have always stuck to products like tea tree, witch hazel you know the gentle ones. Don’t get me wrong I have tried the typical product you can use for breakouts, but I have never branched out to the more expensive products for oily skin or breakouts. To get on top of oily skin you must get into a routine and use the products regularly and I am very bad at applying lotions and potions. I am trying to get better, but I just forget or am too lazy to apply it and wait for it to dry. I have tried the Origins breakout products recently which does work but I just want to have a couple more products up my sleeve as you never know when you are going to run out of not be able to get one of them etc. The three products that came in this box are: Clinique Anti-blemish Solutions Cleansing Gel, Clinique Dramatically Different Oil Control Gel and Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Clinical

Three very appealing products if you ask me just by the name so there is no question about me looking forward to using them. There are two things about this box I have noticed so far, everything is oil-free (obviously), and it is mostly gel formulas which I enjoy.

Clinique Anti-blemish Solutions Cleansing Gel

I did two searches for this product, the first time it came up on the Clinique website, but it had no information, and the price was £0, and you couldn’t buy it. I closed the page to search again and found it you can buy it separately. It comes in 30 ml for £22.00 or 15ml £16. Expensive if you look at the size of the product but I bet for the amount you would use it will last a while and won’t seem so expensive. It is simple to use judging by the website; it just says to put it on the blemishes two times a day, I am probably going to forget the second time, not going to lie. Once I have finished my current one, I will give it a go and let you know what I think of it.

Clinique Dramatically Different Oil Control Gel

Right, this one I couldn’t find on the website, which means you must purchase the box to try it, but it is free in the box if you look at the prices. It is a shame if this is your favourite product, but you could always gift the others to someone. I think that is naughty because you may find yourself not liking the other products, but you cannot purchase just the one you like which will diminish the sales of the box. I wouldn’t buy a box of three things if I only liked one of them (unless it is a good deal). I haven’t used it yet because I like to use things up before I start a new product, however, the pot doesn’t tell you much about it. It is described in the name as a gel, it could be a cleanser, face wash, or moisturiser. I will let you know how I get on with it.

Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Clinical

Another product you can purchase on its own, so out of the three there is only one you can’t get separately, there must be one, right? Again, I haven’t used it, yet which works for me because I want to be able to use all three together to get the best results. This one is £19 for 10ml. A pet peeve of mine is to have two of the same products open at the same time, they take longer to use and then it clutters up your drawer/shelf. The packaging is very minimal which would make it easy to travel with, it could slot into any bag. If it is anything like the Origins product, I have very high hopes for it.

So overall, the box is good for the price of the product. To purchase two of the products on their own it comes to £25, I only paid £16 for the box (three products) worth getting the box if you want to try both products. It would make a nice present for someone who is just getting into skincare or struggling with breakouts.

Clinique Ready Jet Go Box £20

What I didn’t realise is this is the perfect selection of products for a long-haul flight. It is based on your skin getting tight and dry from sitting in a small place for a long period. I don’t know if the one long period without fresh air is going to affect your skin that much but if you are a person who travels a lot you might find this box very useful. This box costs £20, good for Clinique. The four are: Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharge Concentrate, Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray, Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm, and Clinique All About Eyes

I am hoping this box doesn’t counteract the breakout box I chose; this one is all about pumping moisture in and the other is drying any oil on the skin. If you purchased all products full-sized in this box you would spend £105, so a good deal getting the box, I think.

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharge Concentrate

I like this product as I have used it before, in fact, I recently ran out so you might see it in an upcoming post if it is not already live. The full product is £36.00 for less than 50ml so it is wise to keep an eye on any deals going. Like this deal, spend £30 and get five free samples, so it is worth it at times like these. It’s got a lot of moisture locked in which was nice, I think twice a day would be overkill for me, but I did enjoy using the product. This size is perfect for a short trip away, I like to keep the samples for when I go on holiday. The packaging on the full-sized product is cool, as you use it the product moves up with a platform contraption, so you use every ounce.

Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray

I never thought a spray would be moisturising, I mean it goes in your hair, behind you etc. I can see myself using this if it works, quick and easy, isn’t it? I love a product designed to fit into a busy life. The price is not bad, £23 for 125ml which is cheaper than the moisturise I use now. I have only had a chance to use this a couple of times because as I said before I prefer to use up the existing product before trying a new one. I cannot wait to use this one and I hope I do like it; it would be a lifesaver while getting ready for work.

Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm

This is a nice touch, who doesn’t like a bit of makeup thrown in? I am not a lippy kinda girl, I prefer to stick a bit of clear lip balm on during my everyday life, but I typically don’t wear a colour on my lips. I may set this aside and give it to someone as an add-on gift. Pink is not my colour. I prefer to wear deeper and darker colours, as I haven’t found a lighter colour that suits me so far. If you have any lighter colours that look good on a ghost, send them my way. I am sure it is a great product; I mean it is hard to go wrong on a lip balm. There are 7 shades available however you cannot get this colour anywhere but this box. To get yourself a full-sized one they are £18.50 each.

Clinique All About Eyes

The full product is £27.50 but I have noticed that eye creams typically cost more. I am not sure why; ingredients must be safe for the eyes and tested more maybe. Supposedly this one improves under eye circles and any puffiness. If you knew me in 2017, I suffered a nasty eye infection which put me in hospital. Therefore, I am now cautious about what I put near my eyes. Once I have tried this product, I will let know you what I think. I also just wanted to throw a disclaimer out there that in no way do I not trust Clinique products I am just overly pedantic with anything near my eyes now. I would recommend getting the box to try it out first as the box is cheaper than the full-sized product.

Clinique 7-Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula

I got 30ml as a sample, from the instructions and the benefits of the product I would say this is a mask. Who doesn’t love a bit of mask TLC? I think you will get 3-5 uses out of this product. If you have a bigger face, it will be 3 uses but if you have a small head or you apply sparingly you might get the full 5 uses out of it. Out of the few Clinique products I have had the pleasure of trying the green-themed products are very gentle which is great for sensitive skin. Products designed for sensitive skin mean anyone can use them no matter what skin type you are. It may not be as effective because it is gentle, but it will be a nice change. This one is £21 for 100ml.

Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser

I have only used a foaming product once before and I liked it. It felt soft and gentle, perfect for any skin type. It works on strong makeup so I might have to give this a go next time I wear a full face of makeup and see how effective it is. I am curious to see what it is like with waterproof mascara. You get 150ml for £17.50 if you purchase it from Clinique, for a face wash it’s a little pricey but if it works and I like it I can see myself splurging on the odd occasion. I will see how many washes the 30ml last, I mean if it lasts a while, it might be worth it in the long run. I am yet to find a face wash that I love so fingers crossed.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

I never understood overnight masks, I mean doesn’t it get all your pillow and your bed sheets? I would hate if I had to peel the pillowcase off in the morning. I can see myself using it over a few hours and then washing it off, but not using it overnight. I was a little disappointed in the size of the sample this time, at 7ml it is barely one full face mask as typically one mask is 10ml. Clinique is usually good with their samples. I will say it is a very cute little tube though. The full product is 100ml for £31, not the cheapest. I can’t see myself spending £30 on a face mask but it will be nice to try it once. In a way, I hope I don’t like it.

Clinique All About Eyes

I spoke about this one just above because it was part of the second box, but here is the link again.

Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly

Jelly, I am not sure how I feel about using a product which is described as jelly. The 15ml sample is a reasonable size, you can purchase it in a 50ml tube for £18.50, or a 100ml bottle with a pump for £31. The price sits in the middle, the pump could be very helpful. I love that the product is pretty much completely clear, gives me a good feeling about what is in the product. How many ingredients are completely clear? It is also oil-free which is good for me, I cannot wait to give this one a go, it’s got some high hopes. I have a good feeling that I will enjoy this product, I just hope it lives up to its potential.

That will be the end of this Clinique haul, as you can tell I got a good few products for just £31, it works out to about £2.50 per product. I will keep you updated as I use them and see what I think. Let me know in the comments below if you have used any of them before.
