214 Empties August 2017

Updated: Dec 29, 2024

I don’t know about you, but I have gone through a few beauty products and other bits and bobs, and I know how much I like to see what other people have been using so I thought I would share with you mine. If you have not read one of these before you have been missing out, I think these types of posts are the best way to see if the product is worth it. I mean if I have used it all I either like using it or wanted to get rid of it.

Shaken Udder Vanillalicious Milkshake

They got the vanillalicious bit right in the name. It tastes like ice cream. I can drink this all day. It is a bit expensive for the size of the product, so I only get it when it is on offer but when I do, I go through about 5 of them. If you have ever had Carte d’Or Vanilla ice cream, this milkshake pretty much tastes like that but in a drink. You can buy it individually and as a cartoon and the design is just so appealing. Here is the link to their website. You can also purchase from this website if you would like.

L’Oreal True Match Foundation R1-C1 Rose Ivory

I think they have either discontinued this or the packaging has changed. I am not 100% sure, if it has been discontinued the one in its place is very similar to this one. I won because my friend bought the wrong colour, and it was a good match for my skin. I didn’t know if I would like it. I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it. It was quick to apply so I found myself reaching for it when I was in a rush. If I am right, the packaging has been updated and the formula has stayed the same but here is the link to what I believe to be the same foundation. It isn’t the worst-priced foundation either at £9.99 a bottle.

Revlon Colourstay Foundation 110 Ivory

My staple foundation, I have used 2 or 3 bottles of this now. It is not the perfect match for my skin, but it is close. I like this foundation because it does stay in place. I once applied makeup and then found out the event got cancelled so I went to take my makeup off about 30 minutes after putting it on and it took a bit of work to get it off which is a good thing because I usually have trouble getting the foundation to stay on. I don’t think this is an everyday foundation thought; it is full coverage and just is a bit heavy every day. I did use it every day for a short time, but it is quite pricey for just an average store and while being a student it proved difficult to keep up buying this one.

Maybelline New York Matte Maker Mattifying Powder 10 Classic Ivory

I am not a huge fan of this if I am honest. It was just a product that I bought to give and go, and it sat in my collection for a while before I decided it had to be used up. It works and it is a nice colour, but I found the finish was a bit cakey for me. I only used it with one foundation though so maybe they were just not a good match. Give it a go; it is only £3.99 so you won’t feel too bad if you do not get on with this product. It could be the only Maybelline product that I don’t like.

Vanilla Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm

I can’t remember how I found this for the first time; all I know is that I have used this for years. I’ve gone through numerous tubes of this product, and I will continue to use it until I dislike it, or it gets discontinued. I have written a full review of this already because I love it that much, I recommend it to everyone. If you want to get your hands on this product pop into your local Savers where you will find it for £1.50, there is also a couple of different types and flavours. It is a little bit more expensive in Superdrug at £3.25 which is why I refuse to buy it in Superdrug.
