470 Empties July 2018

It is that time of the year again; well, I don’t know if it is the time of year, but it has just reached a time when I have a few products that I have used up. I thought it would be time to go through them and decide how I feel and if they need to go on my list of things to buy. You may have noticed I have bought quite a few new products lately; I know I keep saying that I am going to stop but I am on a roll using the items up as well, so I am not overstocking (or so I keep telling myself). However, I keep getting free things with my order which is not helping my mission, but I am accepting of free items. Anything you get free you should appreciate.

Today, there is a mixture of beauty products, stationery, and makeup. I mean if you ask me, I think I buy more stationary than beauty products. If you know me personally you know I have way too many notebooks.

Cute Green Nail Varnish Remover 200ml

I only bought this as it was on offer when I went to the shop to get a nail varnish remover. I generally just go and get the store’s version that is around £1 and works just as well. I also use it way too often to spend more money on it than necessary. If I am honest, I didn’t think this one was any better than the ones I normally use. If anything, it was a bit quicker at removing the nail varnish but save a few pence for seconds and get the cheaper option. When I do my nails, I watch something on Netflix, so I am not on a time crunch. Those few seconds I am not going to notice.

They have since updated the packaging for these nail varnish removers. This one was to promote healthy nails; it is called the nourishing nail varnish remover which is another reason I tried this product. I don’t think I would rush out to buy this again and I haven’t done it so far purely because I have other ones that work just as well. However, I wouldn’t be against buying this again as I do like that you can get this product in two different sizes which are great for travel. Please keep in mind that the nail varnish remover brand has updated the packaging so it will look different from the one I have to show you. I can’t remember how much I paid for it as this sat in my box of products that need use. The price for it on Superdrug online is £2.15. I know I didn’t pay full price for it though. Light Blue Bourjois 1 Second Nail Varnish

As you may be able to tell from the empty nail varnish remover above, I am a lover of nail varnish, so it was only fitting that an empty dried-up nail varnish was included in this month’s empties list. I do love the brands of nail varnish; I now have about different 7 colours. I just think they are very high quality and super easy to use. I think they are the quickest as well which encourages me to apply them. The packaging for this item is unique, innovative, luxurious, and just an all-around great product. The brush for this is possibly the most amazing applicator I have ever used. It fits my nails so perfectly; I honestly don’t think they could improve the brush or the packaging for this one bit.

I am not sure if this is the best colour out of the bunch, I have but I do like this colour, a very summery colour. I quite like a deep red, almost brown colour. It compliments my skin tone very well. On the other can, anything blue I am there 100%. I have continued to buy this varnish in various colours and will continue to find colours I like.

I am not sure if this colour is still available, I don’t seem to have come across this one again since purchasing, and I have noticed that they don’t keep the colours for long. Are they all limited edition or something? They usually do similar colours but not the same. I’ve had a quick look online and I cannot find the same colour of nail varnish, which is a shame, but they have several others. To look on amazon, follow this link below.

Witch Doctor Treatment Gel

This is already a repurchase because I liked the product the first time, I used it, and I am 90% sure I will be buying it again. There is a small chance that I have found a product I prefer that does the same thing, but I think I might alternate between the two different products. One is a lot cheaper than the other, but they pretty much work the same, so I am a bit torn. I like the more expensive one but at the same time, can I justify the more money being spent on the same thing. If anything, the more expensive one works a bit quicker compared to this one but when applying overnight, is that an issue?

This is a great product to have around the house because you can use it on bites and stings, especially as the summer season has now begun. If you are not going to use it on your face, for the price I would pick one up to have around. I often offer it to family members and friends when they have been stung or bitten. It is cooling on the skin as well which is a bonus for inflammation. I do like this product, it does well. It doesn’t always work very quickly but it does work, it can sting a little if you have an open or raw wound (which you probably shouldn’t be applying it to) so please read instructions and seek medical help if symptoms persist.

If you are thinking, yeah but what is it? All I can say is that it is an astringent which dries out the affected area which results in the area healing quicker. I am not sure of the technicalities behind it but that is the basics of it. You can buy this in the most chemist, and some supermarkets but here is a link to Superdrug which is where you will find it down the medical aisle.

Now, I have a bit of bad news. With the errors I experience on Monday, some of the images have been corrupted and as a result, I have decided to take them out. I spent yesterday trying to recover them and I failed.
