Some people will know exactly what I am on about with just the three-letter EOS. For those of you who do not know what I am on about, it is a skin and lip care brand. EOS is short for Evolutions of Smooth. It isn’t a company that I hear a lot about if I am going, to be honest. It is probably in a lot of magazines, but I don’t really find myself reading magazines very often. I saw someone had a lip balm, thought it looked cool with the packaging and wanted to try it. Had a look online and saw they were a bit pricey considering what they were and decided to give it a miss. However, I was shopping in London with my mum one day and I saw them in TOPSHOP. I can’t remember how much they were in there for, but I thought I was there, I was in London having a bit of a carefree regret its later day, so I thought nope, you want to try one, they are in front of you. Get it.
You may or may not know I am obsessed with mint so of course; I get the peppermint one I think it is called Sweet Mint. It is a light blue turquoise colour. Now EOS gets a ten out of ten for packaging, it is original, simple, stylish and practical. The lids are screw one and you don’t have to get your grotty fingers involved. You can apply it straight on your lips with the product. I also loved the colour of the packaging for the mint one I picked up.
The price was okay, but I would say this is more of a treatment product for me rather than one that I would use daily. I can’t remember how much I paid for it on the day but on the TOPSHOP website they sell at £7. I mean I could get my favourite lip balms for that. I thought that due to the fact they are quite pricy for what they are it was going to be good lip balm, last ages and was going to become something I repurchased over and over.
I either got a bad egg or they aren’t as good as advertised. It was awful, I regret buying it. I used it a couple of times and it was so dry ad hard to apply. I don’t how to explain, when you put it on it dragged your lips around instead of just gliding on. If this is normal I do not like this product, it is terrible. It was slightly painful to put on, possibly the worst lip balm I have ever used. I am not sure if it was the face I got a bad one or something. I want to get another one and see if it was just a fault in the one that got but if it is that means I have wasted another £7 on a product that will either sit in the back of my drawer collecting dust or get thrown in the bin. If this problem is common for the EOS lip balms, please let me know but if I got a bad one also, please let me know. I would really like to try again but am reluctant about the price.
