190 How Do You Feel?

Okay, so let’s have a chat. Does anybody on here watch YouTube? I do, but why do you watch them, is it because you are bored, is it because you fancy someone in the videos, do you know the person in the videos?
I started watching YouTube a long time ago. I started watching when Carah Amelie announced that she was pregnant with her first child. I watched her videos because she was a makeup artist and that is what I wanted to go into. As she grew and had her second child she became a family vlogger as well.
This leads me to The Lindquist’s. At first, I thought, why am I watching these videos, but I quickly realised that when I don’t watch the videos I am not as motivated, I don’t try new things as much. Watching these two families inspired and motivated me to succeed in my own life so I can have a happy healthy family like them one day.
Over time I became subscribed to a lot of families and in general a lot of YouTubers. Recently I went through my subscribed list and decided to remove some people. I am sick of the clickbait, for me, I have started avoiding titles that seem as if they are clickbait. If something did happen and it is highlighted in the title but if a child fell in the pool and you title the video my child nearly drowned, I’m not going to watch it.
So when I saw Elle’s video today it inspired me to tell the truth about how I feel. I completely agree with everything she said in the video. I would happily watch a loving family live their lives instead of “Is the baby coming today?” when they are just getting an ultrasound or “near-death experience in a tragic car accident” when everyone is completely alive. A little drama is allowed. For example, when a child gets hurt and ends up in the hospital and the title says “A&E trip for an injured Anna”, or “oh no, lost a nail” that’s okay but if the title says “Anna almost died today” and all she did was shut her finger in the door.
I just think YouTube used to be a fun enjoyable place and it has slowly turned into a money-making machine but not always in a good way. They are just encouraging their employees to do crazy things to get views to make more money.
Either way, I can safely say I am 100% not supporting any YouTuber that uses clickbait or overly dramatic titles. It just wastes my time and I haven’t got time to waste. I can recommend a couple of families that I have never regretted clicking their video, no one can be extremely entertaining every day, everyone is allowed a rough day, but people shouldn’t lie to get you to watch their videos. Lying is and always will be worse than a thief because you can tell if something is missing but unless you are there you can never be certain if someone is lying or telling the truth.
