Organising your life is more time-consuming than I thought it was. I just figured I would get into a routine and then get on with it, but it turns out that it takes longer than 12 days to get into a nice routine. I thought that my body would get used to getting up at the same time every day quickly, but it hasn’t. That and I haven’t had a normal week so far! It has been running around a bit and I need to have a couple of boring weeks where I just go to work and come home, I think that is the only way I will settle down properly.
Do you ever find yourself getting a bigger and bigger pile of papers to deal with until you end up just moving them from a to b for weeks because you can’t be bothered to sort them out properly or you can’t reach the file easily? I always find if I must move things to get into the drawer or cupboard, I end up leaving them where it is and then I just never get put away.
I am trying not to buy anything new from now on until I have used all the ones I have already used. There are a few exceptions such as limited edition or if it is something specific to do a certain thing. An example would be if I needed a funny colour biro, and I don’t have it already or foundation because I got a tan and the colour I have doesn’t match etc. It seems to me that my room and my life are getting very cluttered, and I don’t like it.
I want to start saving my money and only buy things I need unless it is a special occasion, for example, I treated myself this week to some bits because I worked hard at college and got a decent grade.
Bottom line is, that I am trying to get my life in order. I need to stop spending money on useless stuff that I don’t need or buy new items of the same thing that I have sitting at home in the cupboard. I do tend to fall into the trap of buying things if they are on offer because you do save money but then you end up with multiple of the same thing which you must store until you have used your current one.
Who wants to join me in decluttering their rooms, minds, and lives in general? We are all guilty of spending too much money on certain things. It is okay if it is a treat but if it is a regular occurrence, you will find yourself with more stuff than you know what to do with!
