2346 In the World of Soph ‘n’ Stitch

Firstly, I want to congratulate everyone for making it to the 30th of January 2023. Can you believe it? It feels like Christmas and New Year were ages ago. I’ve said to a couple of people that things I did at the beginning of the month, like appointments, feel like it was months ago but actually it’s only been a couple of weeks. My perception of time this month has been like no other. I have been trying to concentrate on the present lately. It’s better than regretting the past or worrying about the future.

Anyway… moving on to something a little more fun. (Fun for me anyway). I have attempted to be more productive with my time. Trying to take a step away from the screens (sort of) and dip into my creative side.

You may already know… but this time two years ago I taught myself to knit. It was a global pandemic; I had a broken ankle and not much else to do so I thought what better time to do it? And… like many things I try, I got a little bit obsessed. Now I have wool coming out of my eyes, ears, and every storage device in my room. I cannot for the life of me read a pattern. It gets me feeling like I don’t have any clue what it is I am trying to do. Like trying to put a square in a circle gap.

Through the use of YouTube tutorials and practice, I have made quite a few hats now, babies and adults. I haven’t quite got the in-between yet. I mentioned this before, in my last post. But in case you didn’t get a chance to read it, or you are new here (welcome). I have decided to try and sell the bits I make. Of course, I have made things as gifts and will be donating some to local hospitals for babies. But everything else I would like to sell.

I have opened a little Etsy store called sophnstitch which I will link here for you.

I also have a group on Facebook, which I will link to as well.

I currently have approximately 15 hats for sale, mostly 0-3 months size with a couple bigger and I am currently working on bigger ones and a few other ideas I have in mind. I am attempting to make a basket… wish me luck.

If you would like to purchase a hat (UK only for now). You can either use my contact page, use the above link to my Etsy store, or follow my group on Facebook. Here are a few of the options available.
