It seems that I am becoming a L’Oréal fan. I use their hair dyes, I use their makeup, and now I am giving their skincare a try. I picked this item because it wasn’t mega expensive, it is a respected brand, and it claims to do what I want for my skin. I do like that L’Oréal skincare has the ages on the side of the boxes. I started using this just before I turned 20 but the line, I chose was the Skin Perfection for 20-30 years of age.
During the first few weeks of using this product, I wasn’t sure if I liked it or if it was working. I had a couple of people tell me that my skin seems healthier than it was previously which is a positive outcome. I didn’t see a huge difference; it was very slight. There are four points on the front of the box, the products claim to tighten pores, evens and brighten skin tone, smooths 1st lines and improvement in just 7 days. I can confirm two of these worked for me. I noticed a small difference in my skin within a couple of days, not the amount I was looking for, but it was good enough for the first try. I wasn’t expecting miracles, but I thought it would be more noticeable. I do think after almost a year of using it, my skin tone has evened out a bit but not completely. I have very pale skin; almost transparent so getting an even skin tone is near impossible.
If I am in a rush, I find myself using the little time I do have to apply this product because it has made a slight difference to my skin, and makeup always glides on better with a base. Instant results were a bit questionable I’m not sure about the texture of my skin being smoother or if it was silky soft, but it was softer than before I used the product. After 7 days the box claims were more accurate. I could see a slight change in my skin tone.
Overall, the product is easy to apply, I like that you can use this product by itself, and you don’t have to use other products before or after if you don’t want to. I don’t love it but I do like it. For the price it is a pretty good product, I will be repurchasing until I find products that I like better. I would recommend giving this a go at the very least it might help you decide what exactly you are looking for in skin care. Do let me know if you give this a go and what you like or don’t like about it.
The packaging is okay, I am not a huge fan of the pink but that doesn’t affect the products so who cares, just don’t have it out on display. One thing I do love about this product is the pump, so much easier to use and disperse. I usually keep it with my makeup and pop it in on before I put my makeup on in the morning. One thing I will say is it is heavy and bulky. The bulkiness doesn’t matter but I wouldn’t like to carry it in my handbag or hand luggage.
