You might know that I have wanted to seriously get into a solid skincare routine, but I didn’t know where to start. To begin I picked a brand and picked one of their products or ranges that appealed to me the most. This L’Oréal cream is one part of a three-product trial I am doing with my skin. I chose to start here because it wasn’t expensive, it is often on an offer of some kind and easy to get a hold of. You can get it in almost any shop that carries L’Oréal of beauty products.
It took me a little while to get into the routine of using the cream. It has helped me to sort out a morning routine as well as a skincare routine which is a bonus. Well, maybe not helped me but kicked started my butt in making a morning routine. I didn’t notice if the cream had made a visible difference at first, but a couple of friends asked if I had been doing anything different with my skin which confirmed there was a change. The packaging claimed to improve the texture, the glow, and the first lines and take just 7 days to do so. I didn’t notice any difference in the 1st lines, it is mostly under my eyes and this cream doesn’t get that close to my eyes to make any transformation. Skin texture is slightly improved but not to the level I would have liked. I have seen minor improvements, the leading being the dryness has improved.
Overall, I’m not a massive fan but I don’t hate it. For the price and the brand, it is a good product, I wasn’t expecting a miracle cure for my skin but not quite the level of improvement I was looking for. I will continue to use and be repurchasing until I find another one that I want to try out. The packaging is a bit brightly coloured, bulky, and quite heavy so it isn’t one to throw in your bag on the way out the door. I believe the jar is made of glass, so it is a quality container but not good for travelling.
If I am running late in the morning, I tend to skip applying this cream most of the time because it saves me a little bit of time and it doesn’t make a big enough difference for me to sweat over. This product is easy to apply, I always find it gets down my nails and I must waste time in the morning getting it out. When friends come around, I tell them to try it and see what they think so I would recommend giving this cream a try. Other than not liking it, what is the worst that can happen? I would love it if this product had a pump as it would be quicker and easier to apply but most face creams are a standard jar packaging. You never know what kind of dust is floating around the air when you are applying it and shutting the dust into the pot.
A little side tip, if you buy it every time in one shop and use a loyalty card you may just find yourself getting money off it in the future. Usually, customers will get personalised vouchers for what they have earned points. Let me know how you get on if you give this a try.
