160 Makeup Brushes

I did want to do a Lush haul for everyone today because I love them and they have all of their Christmas bits on the shelf. This is due to the fact the one I went to is no longer there! I couldn’t believe it but never mind it isn’t the end of the world.
Instead of the Lush haul, I am going to tell you my system for washing my makeup brushes and how I know which ones are clean. If you have been looking to wash your make-up brushes, you will know there are all sorts of solutions devised to wash them I can’t say I am a huge fan of them; they are greasy and sometimes have an unpleasant smell. I use baby shampoo because it doesn’t irritate your skin or eyes, well it shouldn’t anyway.
As I am a makeup artist I have a fair few, well over 100 brushes I believe, I haven’t counted them for a while but there are a lot so washing them all at once can sometimes be a chore. It often will take about an hour or two if there is a lot to wash. I came up with the idea of putting all my brushes in a bag. The only ones I left out are the ones I used every day. This way all of the ones in the bag are clean and don’t need to be washed. After I have used a brush it stays outside of the bag until it has been cleaned and dried completely.
This means you might only be washing 5 – 10 brushes and it will be quick and simple. If my brush pot starts getting crowded when I get some spare time, I grab a couple and wash them. I have found this is what works best for me.
Good luck and let me know how you get on!
