300 Metamorphosis Bath Bomb

I cannot begin to explain how much I love the look of this bath bomb. It just looks amazing; I mean the wave design is just appealing to me. The name suggests an earthy feel because it reminds me of metamorphic rock. This bath bomb was the first thing in my basket as a stepped into Lush. I love water, swimming, and the ocean in general so when I saw this, I thought it would be a great one to try, it did have glitter which is not my favourite feature but a compromise I am willing to make. Adding something like this to a bath just makes it that much more of an enjoyable experience.

There are some that I avoid because of the glitter but I like to at least give them a try before I decide if I like them or not. The one thing I don’t like about going into the shop is that you don’t get to read much about the product so you just have to go by appearance and scent, if you order online, you can check the ingredients and everything. I do believe the info is displayed but not as much as online. I like to know what is in the product before I buy it.

I usually check out the website when I am running low on products and pick a few that I want before I go into the shop. I have a bit of a backlog of their products at the minute, so I am banning myself from going in until I am down to one bag (I’m working on it, I got some bits for Christmas as well). I mean I might have to pick up a new bubble bar as I love them, but I am putting a serious ban on the lot until I have less than I do right now. I like to read the reviews online as well before I purchase one, I am not sure about it because they are always a good deciding factor.

The reviews had a little moan about this one; they say it had an undesirable colour once it has fizzled out. I was a bit sceptical, I mean it is just a colour, could it be that bad but once I used it myself, I understood better. The fizz power is great on this one; it goes for quite a time compared to some other ones that you can get from Lush. Although I do think the colour put me off.

It has a lot of glitter in it, I thought it was just all sitting on the top, but it was well and truly full of glitter all the way through. I think there was more glitter than fizz in this one or at least close to it, very close to it. When I first picked it up, I thought that it was just grey all over but there was another colour underneath, there was yellow and pink and orange which is all nice as the fizz out of the bath bomb. I love it when the bath bombs are hiding other colours deep inside, it just gives you a little surprise and most of the time it is enjoyable.

However, this time the colours were pretty but the final colour not so much. It turns out a muddy brown colour which is not nice when you are trying to have a nice relaxing bath. I honestly thought, so what it is brown, get over it but it ruins the experience. When you are using a Lush bath bomb you want to relax and enjoy a warm cosy evening. Feeling like you are sitting in mud doesn’t quite match the expectations. I did want to like this one because it looks so cool, but sadly I don’t think I will repurchase this one, at least not for now. This wasn’t a horrible product, it smelt nice, and it fizzed well, it was just the colour as it was so off-putting.

I like to be able to say that I gave it a chance; I didn’t just look at it and decide I didn’t like it. I tried it and it didn’t work out. I would recommend giving it a go, the colour might not bother you and in that case, you will enjoy this bath bomb. Rarely, I don’t like a Lush product; they are very high in my books. You can’t like everything in one shop that would just be silly.
