18 Montagne Jeunesse Face Masque – Nut Oil

They claim this one is: “deep cleanse, Nourishes & hydrates”.

Sometimes with these, I struggle to open but this one I didn’t have a problem with. The thing I like about masks is you never know for sure how they are going to look. They range from clear to bright pink so you never know what to expect. It doesn’t tell you if it sets or not so you kinda just see what happens. This one says 15-20 minutes so that is a little indicator that says it might be a setting one. The colour is a very light off-white colour with a bit of greenish-grey in it. When it sets it turns into more off-white colours which are good as it is clear when it is set compared to when it isn’t.

I like this brand for masks because you know they generally work; you just got to find the ones that suit your skin the best. I have a little collection of masks that I will be using but I picked this one today because I hadn’t done a mask for a few weeks and I needed a boost so deep cleansing ought to do the trick right?

Now this one has a thick consistency which is good I suppose. I prefer the thicker ones as they are more controllable and they don’t get as messy! I always seem to get the mask everywhere oops. This is more of a first impression than a review, I am writing this as it is on my face.

It goes on quite nicely, I have quite a small face, so I am able to get a nice thin layer on it and burn a little bit, but I don’t mind this as it means it is doing something. If it burns a lot, then remove it because nothing is meant to sting/burn a lot. You can feel it working after about 30 seconds and it tightens your face a little quickly so it is definitely a setting mask.

Now after about five-seven minutes of having the mask on it feels very cool and refreshing, so I would say it is good for if you’re having a lay day or feeling good it will wake you up and feel refreshed.

Now if I have time I normally don’t bother looking at the time and leave it on until I went to take it off. As I really want to boot my skin today, I will leave it on longer than it says. If it is a setting mask like this one I normally leave it on until it is set. When it is almost completely set the cooling feeling isn’t really there anymore.

I have to say I did like this mask and it definitely gave my skin a little boost which is great. I will be repurchasing this in the future and I would recommend it.
