2321 More Empty Products!

I still can’t believe that I am typing 2023. We have made it through an entire week! If you have been around here before you may already know this if you are new… I’d like to welcome you and thank you for joining us this evening.

that I have been working on using up the backlog of beauty products that I have accumulated over time. It is taking a lot longer than I anticipated but I am determined to get through them. I have gifted a couple (the bits I knew wouldn’t get used before they expired). I have been quite good though; I haven’t bought any skincare products this year. Only joking, I haven’t bought any skincare products for a while.

Anyway… as I am using up products, it means I have quite a few empty products to tell you about. If you would like to hear about what products I have been using, if I loved them, if I hated them and if I plan to use them again, then stay tuned. If you are not sure what I am on about, then this probably isn’t going to be super interesting for you.

The latest products I have used up are:

  1. Argan Oil Hair Mask

  2. Origins Super Spot Remover Treatment

  3. The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter

  4. Christina Aguilera By Night (Perfume)

  5. Batiste Dry Shampoo

I will say, I have spoken about a couple of these products in the past, so if I do repeat anything, I hope you will forgive me. Shall we get into the details?

Argan Oil Hair Mask

This could be a very terrible observation, but about 5 years ago Argan oil was all the rage when it came to hair products. There was a massive increase in Argan oil products in the store (at least I noticed more), and everyone would go on about how great it was for healthy hair. If you know me, you will know my hair is quite long. Therefore, the ends can get dry very quickly, so I try to have a mask on hand at all times. I haven’t bought it for a little while but the last time I did buy it, it was only £1/£1.30 maximum. Which meant it was a great price. I can’t say it improved the overall health of my hair, but I can tell you how soft it felt each time I used this mask. I would use this again. For £1, you really can’t expect miracles but equally, it’s a very nice mask for the price. I often bought it from Savers, but you will find it online in a few places. It’s just 99p in Asda.

Origins Super Spot Remover Treatment

I do believe I have spoken about this one previously, if not, I definitely planned it in my head and forgot to write it. Ever done that? Think you have done something only to discover you have not. This is actually not something I found; I was introduced to it in my local John Lewis. And… I have been in love ever since. It is a really great product, it is on the expensive side but I can promise you a little goes a long way. You only apply it to blemishes and it’s the smallest amount. I typically used about half a pea’s worth and just dotted it around my face where I needed it. The only thing with this product that I really do not like is the size. It is so small (and very cute) that it is very easy to lose. I think I have lost the majority of the ones I have used. It is easy for it to hide behind other products, or just fall down a crack. It is a little annoying to get out as well because you either have to squeeze it really hard and risk getting too much or try and keep it standing upside down. This one is £17 for 10mls but it does last a good 5-7 months. Which works out to £3 a month. I have repurchased this one and I plan to do it again. If you feel like treating yourself, or perhaps there is a birthday coming up, give it a go.

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter

I will tell you that I finished this quite a while ago. So, unfortunately, it is the old packaging. Can we just talk about the new packaging? I am loving it. It’s a similar shape to its predecessor. So, you can tell it is a Body Shop product. I am also terrible at remembering to apply skincare. I am trying to get better, but so far… it’s not that much better. I need to get into a routine and then I am more likely to remember.

However, when I do remember to apply it. The Body shop one is my favourite! If you come here to read often you are likely to have heard about The Body Shop body butter once or twice before. I do enjoy a couple of their products. The scent does linger well, I often get asked what I am using when I do wear it.

I will be repurchasing; I seem to take it in turns. Right now, I am using the Moringa scent. It is a little bit pricy, but it does last, and it does work. So, I think it is worth it.

Christina Aguilera By Night (Perfume)

Okay, we all know that this is my favourite perfume. It is the only one that I have purchased again and again. It’s a nice scent, I always get compliments when I wear it. The bottle is so pretty and for a celebrity, it’s not super overpowering. They can be quite strong and too much. It’s a blend of my two favourite scents, citrus and vanilla. There is just something about vanilla. 100% I would repurchase; I have repurchased many times. Even my nephew, Huxley bought me it as my Christmas present. Most of the time you can get a 50ml bottle for £20 or less.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Also, another of my favourites, although, I haven’t been using it as often lately. It does work great for covering any grey (Yes, I am 26 and have grey hair, I had grey hair by the time I was 17). Well, it is pure white, and it is only one’s small section of my hair. I do like this product, and it does work but I think my hair is a little too greasy. Straight off the bat, you can feel that the oil has been absorbed but I definitely couldn’t wear my hair down because the second I brush it, you can tell it needs a wash. I don’t know if it is me doing it wrong or not waiting long enough. Let me know what you think in the comments below. I will be repurchasing; I think I still have one left. I do tend to wait until it is on offer though otherwise… it’s just cheaper to wash your hair.

Okay, and that is a few of my empty products, there are a few more to come but they aren’t quite finished. Let me know what your recently used-up products are.
