115 Nothing Better…

I have been very busy over the past month or so, today I had my first full day off at the beginning of February. It was much needed, but it also meant I had a lot of catching up to do. Sadly, I was only able to have a small lie-in, but it meant I got a lot done and managed to catch up with a lot of the tasks I have been putting off over the past three to four weeks.

When I first got up, I decided that in the evening I wanted to have a relaxing chilled-out evening, just getting my life back together after a month of craziness. It was literally wake up, get ready, go out, come home get changed, get stuff sorted for the next day, sleep, get up and start again. Anyways when I got home after spending a night with another family member, I remember that there was going to be a small issue with my plane. Thing is… my room was a tip, there was stuff everywhere, especially clothes, pillows everywhere, my wardrobe was in serious need of organising etc. There were piles of stuff that I had got and not had a chance to put anywhere, piles of things that I had to take out of my back but had nowhere to put. Used up makeup containers on the side, makeup brushes everywhere, it seemed that bobby pins had thrown up over my side. I also needed to unpack. It was all a bit overwhelming … so I decided to put a bit of music on, put some trackies on (tracksuit bottoms), shove my hair in a bun, on the top of my head, put on a long baggy top and tidy.

Once my room was a bit put together and neat, I decided to bring all my bags onto my bed and unpack them, which I have found e easiest way to unpack because you can sort them into piles to put in various places. You can also reach your bed from either side in my case so I can just throw stuff to the other side to put away when I get around the other side. Once I was unpacked, I carried on putting the straggling bits away. When everything was tidy I changed my bed sheets. This is possibly the chore I hate the most, it seems to take me ages. I have two sets of the same bed sheets because I loved them so much that I bought another set for when I needed to wash a set. (Oops).

Once my nice clean bed was ready, I got out some freshly washed Pyjamas, run myself a bath and washed my hair. There is nothing better than getting into freshly washed bed sheets with freshly washed hair and clothes. Next, I lit a candle, grabbed an ice-cold cream soda from the fridge, a packet of my favourite crisps, my favourite movie, and chilled! Possibly the best evening in a long time. There is honestly no better feeling than clean sheets when you get into bed on a cold winter evening. Let me know if you do this or how you spend a day after a busy period in your life. I am interested in experimenting with new ideas.

  1. A messy room – (everyone’s room is messy at some point)

  2. A busy schedule – (it will sadly happen eventually)

  3. A long list of things to do – (this usually depends on your situation)

  4. Clean bed sheets – (mine are from BHS: British Home Stores, brushed cotton Christmas edition)

  5. Clean PJs – (Some random ones that I love, party from New Look and PJ jumper from Primark)

  6. Your favourite shampoo and conditioner – (I used Tresemme platinum strength)

  7. Bubble bath – (Simple foaming face wash)

  8. A bit of junk food – (Tangy Cheese Doritos)

  9. Your favourite movie – (I watched Killers)
