1574 Oriflame Beautanicals Haul

Ad. First things first, I thought I better start by saying that some of the products listed below have been gifted or discounted by Oriflame. I will try my best to highlight the ones that were gifted. Others, I have purchased myself.

I have got to say this post has been a long time coming. I plan it last year but to be completely honest, things kept getting in the way and I never got around to it which is annoying but at least I am telling you about it now right? I want to say that this range came out 2-3 months ago. One of the aims of this range is transparency, as Oriflame has quite rightly said more and more of us are caring more about our bodies and our skin and want to know exactly what we are putting in it or on it.

I have gone ahead and bought the entire range. I haven’t had the pleasure of using it yet as I am working on using some older bits first, but I cannot wait until I get around to these. In this range, they have five times, which are.

  • Oriflame Beautanicals Body Cleanser 300ml £12

  • Oriflame Beautanicals Conditioner 150ml £11

  • Oriflame Beautanicals Shampoo 250ml £11

  • Oriflame Beautanicals Hand Salve 50ml £8

  • Oriflame Beautanicals Revitalising Soap Bar 100g £4

So, the entire range is not the cheapest products you can find but from what I can tell from the packaging, the description, and the ingredients, they are beautiful products. You can pick up the entire range for £46. As soon as I have used them, I will let you know what I thought and how I got on with them. But for now, shall we talk about them a little bit?

Oriflame Beautanicals Body Cleanser 300ml £12

For anyone a little confused, a body cleanser is just a body wash. The main thing that stands out for me, is a gel formula which is my favourite, I don’t get on with creams very well. You will find a total of 8 vital minerals in this body wash, 8, can you believe it? It hasn’t got any nasty parabens or silicones in it. There are two features about this product that stand out to me, the packaging, and the fact it is Vegan and registered with The Vegan Society. They have even used recycled materials to make the packaging. Now, there is a guy called Hyram on YouTube and I have been watching a lot of his videos lately, and I get the impression that an ingredient called Niacinamide is a pretty good one. Please do your research because I am not a scientist, dermatologist, or anything of the sort. But I hear Niacinamide is the thing to use if you get acne, rosacea, wrinkles and even pigmentation issues. I will leave a little link for anyone who wants to check him out (no sponsored) I am just simply telling you what I have learnt from this genius.

The downside, is it’s £12 for a body wash, a bit much don’t ya think? Especially for just 300mls, luckily, I did get these on an offer and one of two of them was discounted on top of the offer but still, £12 for a body wash is steep.

Oriflame Beautanicals Shampoo 250ml £11

As you can tell from the title this one is a Shampoo. If I think about it, there is not a huge number of brands that do soap and hair products in the same range. I could be wrong, but I can’t think of many. There is probably a lot more than I know about but got now it is unique (ish). Shall we get on with the product? Yeah… Okay here goes. The first thing I LOVE about it is that amazing and beautiful pump feature. Not enough products have this, and it is 100 times better, it is more hygienic, safer, easier to use and just overall better than tryna squeeze a slippery bottle, am I right? I know it is cheating but I might have opened it just to see what it is like because I am slightly impatient when I am excited about a product. Can you tell? Just to get the boring bit out the way, it has the same 8 minerals in it as the body wash. It is a white liquid; the scent is very clean but not clinical. It reminds me of, you know when you go on holiday (when we were allowed) and the hotel has a scent, it reminds me of one but not sure which one. Overall, it has got a very tropical holiday scent to it.

Oriflame Beautanicals Conditioner 150ml £11

For anyone who knows me, you know my hair is pretty long. Sophie doesn’t do short hair. I don’t like it on me. I have a few hurdles when it comes to hair care. My hair is quite thin, quite greasy around the roots but very dry at the ends. With that knowledge, I need a conditioner that is not too heavy, but I need quite rich and moisturising. What I am trying to say is that conditioner is very important for my hair care. Just like the shampoo and the body cleanser it has those fancy 8 minerals. Also, I like the packaging, it isn’t a pump, but it is the next best thing. The tube is designed well. It isn’t a big chunky bottle, it is a squeezy tube. I have been good; I didn’t open this one because I want some of it to be a surprise. One thing I don’t understand is why is it when you get into the higher-end shampoo and conditioner you only ever get a small amount of the conditioner. It is always a smaller amount compared to shampoo. I don’t get it; I tend to use more conditioner than I do shampoo.

Oriflame Beautanicals Hand Salve 50ml £8

Sadly, the first thing I am going to highlight about this product is the number of ingredients. There are 42 ingredients, that’s a lot especially if you are applying this multiple times a day, you could end up with 300 ingredients on your hands pretty quickly. It does have the word ‘Salve’ in the name which suggests a very hydrating hand cream. It does claim to have the 8 minerals but about half of them are at the end of the ingredients which means there is not a lot of that mineral in there. This one is a great size, small enough to throw in your handbag, but not so small that it will be gone within a week. I am RUBBISH at remembering to put hand cream on. I need to get better, especially while we are all coating our hands on alcohol. I have never met someone who is in the middle with hand cream, they either never use it, or they are covered in it all the time. I know it isn’t the best for your skin, but it helps me if the cream smells good. At the moment I am using the sugar crush one by soap and glory. I LOVE that scent. However, if you are going to use a perfumed product, it is better to use it on your hands than on your face. Your hands are less sensitive to things like that.

Oriflame Beautanicals Revitalising Soap Bar 100g £4

The 8 minerals that are on the packaging of this product are sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, zinc, copper, silica, and honeysuckle extract. I am not that well-versed in skincare, but I know the body needs minerals to function normally. I have one criticism so far.

I will tell you; I used this one as part of a gift. I am not one to use bar soap so you may never get to read a review. It does look very enticing though, it looks like it would be great at exfoliating. I may have to try it eventually. It looks like it could be very exfoliating which is good. The colour of the bar is very vegan looking, green, and earthy looking. And… believe it or not, 100g soap bars are not easy to find these days, the majority of them are 90g. The price isn’t horrendous, and it will be a nice treat for yourself now and then, but I don’t think it would become my everyday product.

One thing I do want to say about all of the products is that I like the packaging. It is simple, the colours work well, it is easy to use, recycled and recyclable, I like the different sizes and variety of bottles used. I believe the scientific symbols on the front are from the periodic table and they reflect the 8 minerals they highlight in their description. (don’t quote me though). Overall, at the moment having not tried any of the products I am excited to try them, but I don’t see myself spending £46 to buy them again. At the moment I get my hair products from Savers one of which is £1 so they will have to be amazing products for me to switch to expensive ones permanently. If you would like to try any of the products for yourself, comment below, message me or follow the links provided. They are occasionally on offer, but I have no information as to when they will be on offer.
