1029 Origins & Clinique Empties 2019

Well, as you may know, I have been trying to use up some products in my collections. Here are a few of the higher-end Origins and Clinique items that I have used up. I would like to point out that some of these were gifts. Let me know in the comments below if you have used any of these products before because I would love to know what you thought of them. I have a slight confession; I have let my empties build up a bit too much because I have been quite busy this year and struggling to find time to put my full attention to this.

However, I have now got around to it and here is what I have used up, there are 7 products.

  1. Origins Original Skin Retexturising Mask with Rose Clay

  2. Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Face Cream

  3. Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff

  4. Origins Ginzing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturiser

  5. Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

  6. Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concealer

  7. Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

I don’t know about you but there are higher expectations for higher-end products if I purchase something less than £5, I am not devastated if I don’t like it because you can use it up and then not purchase it again without thinking twice about it. When it gets to the £30 for one product it starts to sting a little if it is not what you wanted. As you can see above there are four Origins products and three Clinique products.

Origins Original Skin Retexturising Mask with Rose Clay

This I did not choose to purchase technically; it came in a set of three that I purchased. I am going to start by saying that I am happy that I accidentally bought this. I never thought I would say that a clay mask was quite gentle. Normally, clay masks are not for the faint-hearted, a clay can get deep into the pores and pull all the junk and dirt out. If you have sensitive, be careful and test a small area first but I would give this one a go if you get the chance. AGAIN, I AM NOT A SKIN PROFESSIONAL SO PLEASE BE SAFE AND I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU HAVE A REACTION. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION ASAP IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY DISCOMFORT.

I love this mask; I purchased the full-size product from Origins because I enjoyed it so much. My skin feels nice after using it, refreshed, oil-free, soft etc. The retexturing part of the name also means there is an exfoliating factor, as you apply the mask rub it around your face a little bit to use these features. It works well. It is a setting mask so if you are not a fan of setting masks you may want to pick a different one. The scent is nice, the setting power is great, the application is easy, and a little goes a long way. I can’t think of one bad thing about this mask. It is a little pricey but for the number of uses you are going to get out of the tube, it is worth it. The full-sized product is £22, not the cheapest but just think of how many uses you will get out of it. You can have a look around as you might find a deal, but I would like to support Origins directly as much as possible. Here is the link if you would like to look for yourself.

Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Face Cream

I enjoyed this cream; I did not love this cream. It wasn’t the right fit for my skin, there is nothing wrong with the product and, it is a great product in itself. I think it was a bit too heavy for me, I don’t like it when a cream sits on the surface of your skin. It was just that little bit too rich for me. For the short time that I did use this product, it was moisturising, pretty much immediately that was apparent. It feels cooling and refreshing to apply, the packaging is simple and easy to use and not excessive. The main thing I do not like is that it feels like it sits on your skin, and it looks greasy when you apply it. I just didn’t find myself wanting to get it out and use it, if I like a product, I will instinctively want to put it on and not forget about it. I had two pots of this, I gave the full one to my mum to use which she really liked the cream and then I got through the one I was using but it took a lot longer than it should have. I couldn’t find the exact one, so Origins have either changed the packaging, discontinued the product or I am just not looking properly. There are two similar ones, here is the link to one of those which is £30 for 50ml.

Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff

Well, I did not expect to not like this one, I thought about it for years and years. I was so excited to finally get my hands on it and I couldn’t wait until I could get home and use it. However, I didn’t notice a huge improvement. It also wasn’t a product that made me want to use it more and more. If I don’t feel compelled to use it, I pretty much work out that it wasn’t for me at that point. I kept it in reach until it was empty, and I did use it up, but I won’t be running out to get another one. I was quite surprised as this is one, I have heard a lot of great things about. It wasn’t horrible, the product was nice packaging, nice formula, easy to apply and those good things just didn’t do much for me at this moment in my life. If you get the chance so I would recommend giving it a go because you never know, it may not have worked for me, but it could do wonders for you. This one is £22 for 15ml which is quite expensive. (nearly £150 for 100ml).

Origins Ginzing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturiser

LOVE this product, and I would 100% use it again, I am now on my third pot, and I am very happy that I splurged and got this one. This was on my wish list for a long time before I had the spare money to treat myself to it, it is not horrendously priced as far as face creams go but it isn’t something I could have bought while I was studying and only working part-time. The funds were required elsewhere. There is a full review that has recently gone live if it is already up, I will put the link just here for you. In short, I recommend you try it. Everyone I know that I have been allowed trying it has enjoyed it and one of them went out and go the pot for themselves. To be honest, the price of this product is reasonable. £25 for 50ml, most fancy face creams start at £30 and go up by the hundreds.

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

Again, I enjoyed this product. The actual product was lovely, the packaging was amazing, the application was simple and easy, and the results were good. The only thing about this one is that it is quite pricey for the amount you get. I don’t think I can justify spending on this when it is full price, I would use it again given the chance, but I am not prepared to spend that much on one product. The price aside, I do recommend giving this one a good one, the moisture that is locked in it is phenomenal, almost a shame that the price point puts it out of a lot of people’s reach. The pot on this moves the product up the bottle to save you trying to get the little bit sat at the bottom out, so there is no wastage. I believe the packaging is plastic, but I could be wrong. The longer tube shape of it makes it easier to fit in your wash bag if you go away which is a nice bonus. Overall, I liked the product, I would reuse it and I would recommend others to give it a go. I am just waiting for the product to go on a deal before I repurchase it myself. To get the full-sized product it is £36 for 48ml, which is quite expensive so I see this as a treatment product, but I would recommend it if you had the funds.

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concealer

I enjoyed this product; in fact, I am most of the way through my second pot. It looks lovely on the skin, the coverage is on point, the application is quick and easy, it blends well, and works well with other products. The only downside for me is that I am ridiculously pale and even the lightest one looks quite orange on me when it dries which is a real shame. It’s not Clinique’s fault, they have tried hard, the lightest shade is 0.5 which suggests they tried to add a lighter shade at some point (as the rest of the shades go up in ones) just not for someone as ghostly pale as me. I would purchase this once again, it just means I must be careful when I blend, get a bit tanned before I use it or wear my hair down to cover the foundation lines. The price for this is quite realistic, considering it is Clinique this one is £28.50 for 10ml. There are almost 30 shades so you should find the right one for you.

Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

I got this as a freebie actually and the little pot holds the perfect amount of cream for a weeklong trip, you might squeeze 2 weeks in if you use it sparingly. I have now used up the product, but I plan to keep the product for going on holidays, so I am not carrying a huge pot. Great product, I liked the results, the application was easy and felt nice on my skin. The only downfall is that I like Origins one that little bit better. The scent does it for me so this one had no chance if you look at it from that angle, but this is a great second. If anything were to happen with Origins, discontinued or something this is the one I would turn to, I think. One thing I like about this product is that it comes in a few different sizes, well four different sizes. 15ml £12, 30ml £24, 50ml £36 and 75ml for £46. A little side tip, if you hate getting samples, tuck them away for when you go on holiday, they are mostly perfect sizes for a short trip and some of them are good for up to 1 week. It will save you from carrying huge pots.
