I bought this one as part of the Christmas collection because Christmas is the best time to be buying Lush if you ask me. I am not sure if it was just the time I looked or maybe I rushed it, but they didn’t seem to have a very big Christmas collection this year. The company seems to be steering more towards bubble bars which is such a shame because the bath bombs are so much fun, and you get to use the bubble bar a couple of times, so I find it takes me a while to get through the products when I buy multiple bubble bars.
Now, I have used this one before but for some reason, I cannot remember what I thought of it the first time, it could be that my sister used it when she came around but this time, I got to use it. Sadly, it didn’t excite me. I prefer the bath bombs that take a few minutes to fizz through, this one was completely done very quickly. You don’t get to enjoy the bath bombs as much when they fizz quickly. I am not sure what ingredient determines how quickly fizz.
This one has orange oil in it (very festive if you ask me), which I must say was not overpowering, I couldn’t smell anything citrus, but I don’t know if that is because I got used to it quickly. Do you know what I mean, when you must walk out of the room and come back before you notice the scent? My mum said she could smell it from downstairs so it must just have been me. I have heard if you can’t smell something that is because it is the perfect scent for you, correct me if I am wrong.
I did really like that the gold stars on the top of the bath bomb are little melts. They separate from the bath bomb and float around a little bit longer soaking in the water softening. I think they are the moisturising aspect of the product (if I remember correctly, the stars have almond oil, but I could be wrong) but if that is the case I like the little golden stars. I loved the colour; it was such a rich beautiful blue it was almost mesmerising. If you know me, you will know that blue is my favourite colour, so I am a bit biased when it comes to anything blue.
You cannot get this one anymore because it was part of the Christmas range (Lush, if you are reading, please put the Christmas Boxing Day sale back online) but if you go into your local store, you might find a strangler behind in the shops, but it is getting a bit late now. Let me know if you do find one.
My overall thoughts are that it was a bit underwhelming, for £4.95 I don’t think it is worth the full amount. It is a nice product, and it does have the moisturising aspect; my skin did feel cared for after, but it just didn’t shine like some of the others for me. I wouldn’t be opposed to using this one again because I didn’t hate it, I would be happy if someone got this for me as a gift but there are others that I would buy first. If you bought this one or you have tried this before, please do let me know your thoughts.
