So I can’t be the only one that loves the feeling of taking your makeup off but can’t always be bothered to take it off properly with all the lotions and potions am I?
Most of us girls and even the boys now who do wear makeup have a packet of removal wipes handy for those lazy days or even just to freshen up your face in the morning before applying any makeup.
My problem is my skin doesn’t seem to like any of the makeup removal wipes. So, the question is do I just stop being lazy and use the proper cleaning lotions and makeup remover creams or oil etc or do I let me eyes go red and sting. There was on occasion about 3 or 4 years ago now where I decided to let me eyes sting and just splash them with water after I have taken my makeup off. This is what I did, removed my makeup with a packet of makeup removal wipes, can’t remember which brand ... the reaction I got was horrible, painful, and very red. I couldn’t open my eyes properly for about an hour and a half to two hours and my eyes were watery, stinging and burning.
I had a packet of baby wipes on me, not really sure why so I thought well if these are good enough for a newborn baby’s skin, they have to be alright for my face. Sure enough, they were, they didn’t sting, they didn’t burn. My eyes didn’t react at all, since that day Tesco’s fragrance-free baby wipes are how I take my makeup off on a lazy day.
If you are having trouble with makeup wipes, give them a go but make sure you get the fragrance-free ones as the fragrance is likely to irritate sensitive skin and eyes. Let me know how you get on and if you try and don’t like them etc.
Even better if you have the same problem as me and have really sensitive eyes and you have found a brand of makeup remover wipes that do not cause any kind of reaction, please tell me. Thank you and good luck.
