Did you enjoy yesterday’s post? I thought I would do this post in two parts because it got a little too long. I know I would get bored if I was reading a post too long. Shall we get on with it?
Nivea Cleanser
Simple Kind to Hair Shampoo and Conditioner
Superdrug Avocado Mini Shampoo and Conditioner
Argan Oil Hair Mask
Compeed Blister Plasters
Be Enchanted Body Lotion
Garnier Micellar Water
Johnsons Cotton Buds
Lint Roller
Bourjois Red Nail Varnish
Nivea Cleanser
Hmmm, what can I say about this one? To start with I can tell you that it was a birthday present, a nice one at least. I prefer to use brands with their fellow products, for example, I use Nivea with Nivea. I figured a product works best with the products it was designed next to. Wouldn’t you agree? I used it, and it worked, but I didn’t love it. I am not likely to buy it again, I have used other ones and I preferred those. Honestly, I have never been impressed by Nivea. I have found their products to be nice but never astonishing. Now, I am unsure what the price of this product was when I got it and I did have some trouble finding the exact one but here is the link.
Simple Kind to Hair Shampoo and Conditioner
Not a huge fan of these but they were good for travelling as they are small and by that, I mean thin and easy to pack. They did the job while I went away for a few days, and they were good to keep in my collection for backup in case I ran out of my favourite one. I always like to have a backup; you never know when you are going to run out of something. It didn’t do anything for my hair other than clean it. Do you know what I mean? Some shampoo and conditioners just don’t do you any favours. Once you have found the right shampoo for your hair you will know what I mean. I don’t think I will be using this regularly, but I would get it again to take away on holiday with me. They are not badly priced, £2.99 each.
Superdrug Avocado Mini Shampoo and Conditioner
To my surprise, I placed an order over the summer and when it arrived, mini versions as seen in the photo were in my package. I thought it was random but nice of them to put this in the order. It is a great way for them to get new products on people’s regular shopping lists. I wish I saved this for when I went away just now but I was impatient and wanted to test it out. I enjoyed them, I have looked, and they do the full size for £3.99. I am sure I would try the full-size product depending on the price. I expect the price to be reasonable because most Superdrug branded products are. I think these will be on my list next time I do a Superdrug order. These are £3.99 each or 2 for £5.
Argan Oil Hair Mask
I enjoy this product I have gone through many of them, I should be showing you two of these that I used up but one of them got thrown away. I went through a stage of trying out hair masks and this is the only one that stuck if I am honest. There was a Superdrug one I liked but this one beat it without question. I usually apply the conditioner and before I rinse it off, I apply this. I find even 30 seconds with this on your hair works great. It is quite a thick consistency so make sure you have got it all out. You can find this product in Savers and some Pound Shops, so I can confirm it is not expensive. I think this would make a nice Christmas gift because not everyone treats themselves to a hair mask, I didn’t know about them until I was about 16 or 17 because my mum never used them. I would head down to your local Savers; it will save you from paying for delivery.
Compeed Blister Plasters
I have always been against these; I didn’t see the point in spending the money as well there are other plasters which are much cheaper. After all, it was just a plaster. I never understood why 4 or 5 plasters would be almost £5 or more in some private or independent shops. I have now had the pleasure of using them and boy do they work 1000 times better than any other plaster you can try for a blister. They are amazing, if you do not use them, I suggest you try them. They are a lifesaver; never will I wear a new pair of shoes without having these on hand. I tend to grab some when they are on offer though because they are a little pricey for a plaster. (they are worth it though). You can pick these up from pretty much anywhere.
Be Enchanted Body Lotion
Okay, let’s take a minute to appreciate how pretty the tube is for this one. Sadly, this is a Bath and Body Works product which means hard, near impossible to get in the UK. I have an auntie who lives in America when she came over, she very kindly brought me this and I absolutely would buy this again but I’m not paying for international shipping and then the tax when it gets to the door. No spray is worth that. If you work in Bath and Body Works, please set up a shop in the UK. You will not regret it I promise.
Garnier Micellar Water
I think this is now the second bottle I have used up. I like the size of the bottle, usually, cleansers and micellar water come in smaller quantities and the price is not great for the small product. I’m not fussy when it comes to micellar water, I just use it to remove makeup so if it does get the makeup off, I am happy with the product. This is the first one I have used that I felt like it was worth purchasing again. I haven’t used one that doesn’t work at all, I have used a fair few. This was on sale when I needed to get a new one, so I picked it up and I liked it. I will be repurchasing this one. I also like that it comes in different formulas. I get the one made for combination skin.
Johnsons Cotton Buds
These come in handy with makeup, everyday activities etc. I use them a lot when I apply my Origins Spot Treatment Gel. I use them daily if I am honest. These are just the ones I picked up this time, I’m not picky. I just grab them from whatever shop I am in. I have never had an issue with the price, I can usually find them for £1 no matter what brand I get. I have used all sorts of brands. I don’t have a preference; I just grab whatever is when I am restocking. I am on the second pot of these. I wouldn’t mind if they were a few more in one pot, I feel like I go through them way too quickly.
Lint Roller
In my house, these are a must-have. I have a cat who has white fur. He is cute, his name is Tilly (that is a long story, we thought he was a girl when we got him. When we found out he was a boy he already knew his name and responded to it, so we couldn’t change it). However, a lot of my wardrobe is black because it is the easiest colour (shade) to wear, and I do quite a bit of backstage work. So, I always need at least two of these in my house. I used to keep one on my desk at work, but I found I was being lazy and not using it, so I took it home. I use it most days before work as I typically wear black trousers. I have tried a few different ones, but I prefer the Tesco one, it is a lot easier to take the used sheet off the top.
Bourjois Red Nail Varnish
I don’t have the words to explain how much I loved this colour, unfortunately, I haven’t been able to repurchase this because I believe it to be discontinued which is a real shame. I don’t understand, with Bourjois Nail Varnishes it is impossible to repurchase because you can never find them again. It’s almost as if they do limited edition only, I hate it when you don’t get a chance to use the same product. I don’t understand limited edition products, I mean what’s the point if you use it up and never see it again? I understand collectable items such as artwork but products. I would recommend if you can get your hands on this colour, I would describe it as a burnt red colour.
