187 Too Many Things To Do?

Last year I got really busy, my friend began to get shocked when I said I had a bit of spare time to meet them. I ended up burning out a few times. In secondary school, I used to be good a remembering everything I needed to get done but once in college I ended up being very forgetful so I started making a list of everything I had to do which I would cross off as I did them.
Every day I would get up, get ready and go to my list of things to do. I would pick which ones I would do and things for the day. For example, if I ran out of milk I would add that to the list of things to do for the day. At the end of the day, I wouldn’t beat myself up if I didn’t get everything done because usually I still got a lot done and the list showed that.
I found that writing everything that I had to do each day was helpful as I wouldn’t forget about anything and I liked seeing the list ticked off at the end of the day, I would put stupid things on there like washing my hair or put washing away as well as important things such as assignments or sort my finances. Some of the things on the list were just reminders, for instance, if I had to book a hair appointment or go to the dentist.
Writing a list isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but next time you have a busy week coming up, try it you might even surprise yourself. It also helps to work on time frames, you end up not staying up until 4 am trying to finish the work you were given 3 weeks ago. I found it helpful to know what part of my assignment I got up to.
Say I was given an assignment and it had five parts to it. I would write on the list “Do unit 8 assignment 1 – task 1 task 2 task 3 task 4 task 5.” Each time I finished a task, I would check through it and then cross it off.
Good luck and let me know how you get on. Of course, if you have any tips you would like to share with me feel free to do so in the comments.
