Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer

This is a highlighting, medium to light concealer. I only use it under my eyes, but it works well enough to hide my under-eye circles most of the time.

My first impression of this product was rubbish, wasn’t impressed at all! Just thought it was a waste of money, didn’t do anything in my eyes. Not too sure why, just regretted buying this product. It went in the bottom drawer never to be seen or used ever again!

Can’t remember why but I ended up trying it out again under my eyes on a different occasion and realized I quite liked it and it worked well enough. It doesn’t conceal everything but worked on an everyday base. Ever since this, I have been using it every time I apply makeup. At the moment I use makeup 4-5 days a week. It doesn’t always give the best results for me, but I think this is because I am very fair-skinned (I like to say I glow in the dark) so me under eyes are very blue and dark on an everyday basis without being tired so add tired in there which is a lot lately it just doesn’t leave a flawless even under-eye coverage.

I would say that I didn’t expect it to cover everything as not many concealers from a well-known popular store-bought brand. If it was a high-end concealer, I would expect more from it.

It is very liquidish so you must make sure it is set with a good powder, I found my Rimmel translucent matte powder works but you really must get it packed on there and I find myself applying it at least twice throughout the day. I found my MAC studio fix does work without having to reapply but depending on the type of day, weather etc keep an eye on it in case you need a touch-up.

For this product, give it a go, if you have oily/shiny skin then it may not work but you could have it as a backup if it doesn’t work out. There isn’t a massive range of shades so watch out if you are using it on its own as you may not have a perfect match. I wouldn’t use it for night-time occasions/ special occasions but on a day-to-day basis, it is workable. I will be repurchasing this soon.
