2479 We have made it…. June 2023 is here

Well, we’ve made it 6 months into the year. As usual, I have had an eventful start to the year! I had no changes planned but changes have happened.

The biggest one has been my job. My hours and days have changed which is why I haven’t been very active on here. I start earlier, I finish later which makes the working day a bit longer, but it means I get more days off. Does that make sense?

Changing jobs wasn’t in the cards going into the year. But it was the best decision for me. Where I was had just gone sour. The workload was high and just getting more complicated and difficult to deal with, so people were getting to the end of the tether, arguing, b******g behind backs etc.

I am not going to pretend I am perfect; no one is. But there is a huge difference between feeling a bit annoyed or irritated by someone at the end of the day and having a vent and just plain insulting a colleague. Everyone has got something annoying that they have done. So, no doubt a colleague has gone home and said I had annoyed them by doing something, or I had forgotten something again.

We are after all humans.

Anyway, that is in the past now. I now work different hours, different days, with different people. And… so far. It is less gossipy and playground-like. I am sure, like most workplaces, there is going to be a con here and there pop up at some point. But overall, it’s been a more positive experience.

This means… once I get my butt into a routine and find my feet I will actually get back on track and be able to write some more reviews for you. I’ve been doing quite a bit of knitting and crocheting this year. So, look out for any images of those. My aim this month is to get some writing done for you, and back on track with life. Sleep schedule, eat a bit better (because cereal for dinner shouldn’t be a regular thing). Wish me luck and stay tuned for the creative madness.
